Craig Guy Receives Endorsement from Major Jersey City Police Unions

Jersey City Police Officers Benevolent Association and Police Superior Officers Association Endorse Guy’s Campaign, Cite his Experience and Dedication to Public Safety

Democratic candidate for Hudson County Executive Craig Guy is announcing that he has received the endorsement of the Jersey City Police Officers Benevolent Association and Police Superior Officers Association. The prominent police unions are citing Guy’s experience in law enforcement and county government, and his commitment to provide Hudson County police departments with the necessary funding and training to keep their communities safe.

“I am thrilled to endorse Craig for County Executive,” said Joe Cossolini, JC POBA President. “He has been an inspiring and dedicated public servant, both during his career in law enforcement, as well as working in county government. I know that Craig will stand up for our officers, and I look forward to working with him to keep Hudson County safe.”

The Jersey City Police Officers Benevolent Association is the representative of over 700 patrol officers and detectives, and the Police Superior Officers Association represents Sergeants, Lieutenants and Captains.

“I am confident that Craig Guy will put public safety at the forefront of his work as our next County Executive,” said Captain Pawel Wojtowicz, Jersey City PSOA President. “He has the experience necessary to make sure that Hudson County residents are safe.”

Craig Guy has previously been endorsed by leading Democratic elected officials like Governor Phil Murphy, Senator Bob Menendez, Senator Cory Booker, and all 12 of Hudson County’s Mayors, as well as leadership from the statewide and Hudson County Fraternal Order of Police and the Hudson County Building Trades.

“As a former police officer for over two decades, I understand the incredible responsibility that the men and women of our departments have on their shoulders and I am honored to be endorsed by the JC POBA and the PSOA,” said Craig Guy. “I look forward to working with Joe and Pawel and all of their members to ensure that our police departments have the funding, training, and support that they need to keep Hudson County safe.”
